The People’s Movement for the West Philippine Sea
The People’s Movement for the West Philippine Sea was organized last October 7, 2023 for the protection and conservation of the resources of the West Philippine Sea. The organized group was then recognized by various national agencies and other multi-stakeholders who also convened as a formal group which aims to provide a legal anchor to the current members to officially continue their engagement regarding WPS, ensure accountability, sustainability and continuity of the endeavors to protect the WPS and to ensure that the activities of the WPS Convenors Group are align with the plans, programs and activities of National Government and NTF-WPS.
